Since its inception in 1961, Airport West Football Club has been a vital presence in the Essendon District Football League (EDFL). The club has evolved into a thriving community-centered football institution, cherishing family values.
With an impressive lineup of 19 teams spanning both senior and junior divisions, along with a dynamic AusKick program engaging over 150 enthusiastic young players, they continue to set the standard for excellence on the field.

Moonee Ponds United SC strives to nurture and sustain a community based initiative centred on sport, competition and family oriented activity.
The Club’s current facilities are J.H. Allan Reserve and Aberfeldie Park on The Boulevard in Essendon. The Boulevard is located on the banks of the Maribyrnong River and is the most popular sport and leisure district in Moonee Valley. It is home to a professional running track, tennis school, the Essendon Rowing Club and the most frequently used jogging and walking path in Moonee Valley which snakes along the Maribyrnong River.

The Live for Lily foundation was established to honor Lily Hester. Their hope is to find a cure for Childhood Cancer so no child or parent has to endure what Lily and her family did.
They raise awareness and funds that will go directly towards research to find a cure for childhood cancers.

The Essendon District Football League consists of 35 Clubs and six Associate Member Clubs that span six council areas in Melbourne’s north-west metropolitan region. With a mix of AFL + AFLW teams, and ages spanning from Junior Under 9’s right up to Senior players – the EDFL is an essential part of the local Essendon community.

Founded in 1980, Maribyrnong Park Football Club is a thriving force in the Essendon District Football League. With 5 senior men’s teams, 3 senior women’s teams, and 22 junior teams, including 8 girls’ teams, MPFC is dedicated to inclusivity and community spirit. The club boasts a rich history of premiership success and player development. Through strong partnerships, MPFC continues to provide opportunities for players of all ages to grow both on and off the field.
